CHIGs in action – Week ended 31 Oct 2010

South East Score Championships

Six CHIGs travelled to Holmbusch and Buchan Country Park on Sunday for the South-East Score Championships.  However with 12 runners counting for the club competition, CHIG came in 8th of 12 clubs with 945 points. Southdowns Orienteers won with 2777.5 points. Kostya Lutsenko was top CHIG scorer with 250 points, finishing 8th in the individual standings for the 60 minute score. Results here.

Autumn Sogaloppen Series 2010 – Tilgate North

Alex Kerr was the sole CHIG runner on Saturday running on the Green course. Results here.

Kent Orienteering League – Jeskyns and Ashenbank

John Duffield ran the A course at DFOK’s KOL event on Saturday. Results here.

British Mountain Bike Orienteering National League

Sherwood Pines was the location for round 10 of the BMBO National League on Saturday. Alan Brett, competing in a league event for the first time, retired after 16 of 25 controls following a bicycle pump failure prevented a puncture repair. Results here.

Mildenhall

Update: The largest CHIG contingent of the weekend (10) ended up at the WAOC East Anglian League event in Mildenhall on Sunday. Kate and Mike Brett ran on Blue, Alice Campbell and Ray Curtis, Robin Campbell and Charlotte Cheetham, Alison Curtis on Light Green, Dylan Campbell and Jocelyn Brett on Orange with Oliver Brett on White and Yellow (n/c). Results here[thanks to Ray for the hat-tip!]
