Membership
CHIG welcomes new members – young and not-so-young, individuals and families. Membership gives you access to training sessions and advice, discounts at orienteering events, social events, opportunities to compete for your local club plus discounts with various national companies/shops.
Which form of membership should I have?
Membership takes two forms: Local or National and both include membership of British Orienteering, the national body for orienteering. Membership will run from January to December, although if you join after 1 September you pay the annual fee, but your membership is carried through to the end of the following year.
You can join CHIG as a Senior (21 and over), Junior (20 or under) or Family member. The benefits of local and national membership are shown below. If you are a newcomer to the sport or are unlikely to travel out of the South East to events, Local membership will be sufficient. Contact Helen Hampton, Membership Secretary, if you need advice.
How do I join?
Once you have decided which form of membership you want, email Helen Hampton, Membership Secretary or you can join online via the British Orienteering website. Click here and select CHIG from the clubs list and SEOA from the Association list.
