The annual club dinner will be held this Friday night, 6 November, at Anton’s, Great Hallingbury Manor (not far from junction 8 of the M11 – the Bishop’s Stortford/Stansted Airport turnoff). Payment should already have been forwarded to Sally.
The evening will start at 7.30pm in The Oak Room. Park at the back of the restaurant/hotel and come around to the front of the hotel and through the front door. The Oak Room is on the right, but you will be directed by someone in the foyer.
We have a speaker confirmed from Hatfield Forest, who will give us a short talk on the history and flora/fauna of the forest.
The menu is as follows and I would be grateful if anyone who would prefer the vegetarian option could let me know asap.
Tomato tart with parmesan cheese and rocket salad
Pork escalope, in cheddar crust on spinach with fried bantam egg, polenta gnocchi and caper berries
(Linguini with spicy shallots, seasonal mixed salad)
Coffee, tea and infusions
All drinks are ordered and paid for individually. If you have any queries on directions, etc., please contact Sally.
