We have 7 permanent and 8 virtual orienteering course centres spread across the Southwest Essex and Northeast London area.
Both permanent and virtual courses allow you to take part at any time that suits you.

Permanent Courses
How it works
A permanent course is a set of physical posts in an urban or park setting that you can orienteer round at a time that suits you:
• Choose a course (see below)
• Get a copy of the map and bring a pen and paper with you
• Find the Start Triangle on the map
• Visit the posts in the correct order. Each post is marked on the map with a Red Circle
• Use the pen and paper to write down the unique letters/numbers displayed on each post.

Virtual Courses
How it works
A virtual course is a set of points on a digital map on your smartphone/watch in an urban or park setting that you can orienteer round at a time that suits you:
• Install the MapRun App on your phone/watch (see the MapRun page for details)
• Register your details
• Choose a course (see below)
• Go orienteering!
