The Great Spoon of Ilford

This is the first event in the London Park Race series for 2014.
Registration & Entries
You do not need to pre-enter or be a member of an orienteering club, just turn up on the day.
Please visit registration at the Event Centre between 1800 and 1915 to buy a map and to hire a dibber (which records your time electronically) for no charge if you don’t already have one.
Your entry fee includes a full colour map printed on waterproof paper, which you can keep as a souvenir after your run, and a printout of your race time and splits at the end of the race.

Times & Courses
Start times at one minute intervals between 18:15 and 19:30. Courses close at 20:30.
5km and 2.5km courses.

Help for Newcomers
Some of CHIGs members will be on hand to offer help to newcomers to orienteering, and will be available to help you understand the map symbols and suggest some tips and techniques before you start.

Ilford Rail Station (National Rail from Liverpool St (18 mins), Stratford (8 mins), Shenfield (26 mins)).
Alternatively Gants Hill Station (Central Line) is a 5 minute bus journey from the event HQ. Ilford and Gants Hill are both well connected on the London bus network. London Overground to Woodgrange Park or Barking then short bus rides.
Parking in the park, vehicle entrances on Melbourne Road, Perth Road and Cranbrook Road. Cranbrook Road entrance shall be signed. Some parking available on local streets. Car parking charges in the park are:
