Results – Saturday Parks League: Valentines Park

Report

On a beautiful sunny morning, Valentines Park looked fantastic as the Saturday Park League event launched the new orienteering map of the park. First to use the map were some of the parkrunners who were offered a 1.2km taster event from 09:30 with 9 controls. Viorel Mih was fastest around the parkrunners course.

Shortly after 11:15, the 45 minute score event began and 11 of the competitors successfully located all 25 controls. Victory went to Robert Ashton (BAOC) who finished in 19:01, only 3 seconds ahead of William Ames (IND). Gergo Nagy (IND) was third fastest. Megan Ashton (BAOC) was first female home with Jen Ames (IND) second. Full results are posted below.

Congratulations to Russell Peters who, with 83 points from his three counting events to win the inaugural Saturday Parks League title.
