Orienteering is a fun sport for all the family that involves using a map to follow a simple course through part of the Country Park.
Find out what orienteering is all about by finding your way to Hainault Forest Country Park, near Chigwell, on Saturday 12th September. Any time between 10am and 12noon.

This is an informal event aimed at beginners and those new to orienteering. There will be a short course laid out in the forest of around 2km.

Maps will be provided and club members will be on hand to give instruction. No special clothing is required, just good outdoor shoes. No pre-booking required.

Where? The registration and start point will be adjacent to the 2nd car park at the end of the main entrance road into the country park.

Public Transport: Buses 247 and 362 pass the main entrance to the park. Hainault Underground station (Central) is a short bus ride away.

Fees: There will be a map cost of £1. The map is yours to keep. (There is a pay and display car park).
