Orienteering Taster – Fairlop Waters

Come along to our orienteering taster where some of our club members will teach you some map reading skills. Then when you are ready to give it a try, you have 45 minutes to find as many “control” points as possible in the time allowed using the special map which has the control points marked. You can go around the course individually, in pairs or as a family group. Younger children should be accompanied on the course.

Note: There are two car parks/entrances. This event is based at the golf course car park – i.e. the entrance closest to Fairlop underground station.

This informal taster event will use the permanent course controls – ie it will not use electronic timing.
