Entries will be taken on the day. While there is no online entry fee payment system, it would be helpful to the organising team if you could complete the map reservation form or sign up for the event on Facebook [separate Facebook event for the Trail Race]. Timing will use EPS-SI and dibbers will be available for hire.

Terrain & Map
Map: Hainault Forest Country Park. 1:10,000 updated 2017, Tom Edelsten
Mixed woodland and open parkland.
Woodland Trust are in the process of installing new cattle fences in some of the forested parts. These could affect all courses except White and Yellow. The finished fences are only crossable by the tall and fit, so have been shown by the “High fence” symbol. If cattle have been introduced by the time of the event, it is however unlikely that they will show much interest as you pass them. At the time of updating the map some fences were comprised of just a line of posts, shown by the “Ruined fence” symbol. Unsurprisingly, no cattle were present in these areas. The “Gate/gap” symbol usually indicates a formal gate, but also occasionally a narrow gap.
Where woodland has recently been cleared the debris has been accumulated in linear piles, indicated by the deep green hedge symbol, again difficult to cross except by the more agile.
The ground is very dry at present, and many of the streams and water channels marked on the map have very low water levels and even none in places.
Public toilets are available beside the Car Parks. There will be a charity cake stand. Other regular park amenities include the (free) Foxburrows Farm and Zoo, the boating lake, cafe, adventure play areas and woodland trail.
Dogs welcome if under control.
