CHIG v HAVOC Series – We won!

Here are the individual match results:

CHIG HAVOC
Round 1 (Epping North) 94 25.5
Round 2 (Thorndon North) 51 42.5
Round 3 (Wanstead Park) 35 14
Round 4 (Hadleigh Country Park) 61 49.5
Total: 241 131.5

As you can see, CHIG won every match! Thanks to all the organisers and to all CHIG members that ran. As with all club competitions, it’s difficult to encourage participation while not making it too easy for larger clubs to win. If anyone (HAVOC members included!) has any recommendations for making the CHIG v HAVOC series “fairer”, please let me know.

FROLICS Series

John Duffield Reports…

CHIG came fifth out of thirteen competing clubs at this year’s FROLICS.  We might even have made third if we had put out a full team at all the events.  Pride of place from the qualitative point of view goes to Tom Edelsten, who won the final event at Whippendell Woods.  Pride of place from the quantitative point of view goes to John Duffield, Ros West and Derek Jenner who each ran in four of the five events, with Ros finishing ninth individually out of over two hundred competitors.
